1940 Royal Sunbeam 23″ Gents Roadster

1940 Royal Sunbeam Gents Roadster 23″

with BSA 3-Speed Gears

Mechanically Restored, with excellent original paintwork,

box lining and Sunbeam transfers.

This 70 year old Sunbeam boasts original paintwork, with the box lining that denotes the ‘Royal’ range still intact. You can also clearly see the original Sunbeam transfers as well as that of the cycle shop that supplied it (Duncan & Son of St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland).

With frame number OD 774, it would have been sold toward the end of the summer in 1940. Bearing in mind Great Britain’s entry into WW2 the previous year, this makes it a rare machine.

My mechanic has gone through it mechanically. The wheels have been rust-proofed. It’s ready to ride.
