1924 All-Black Royal Sunbeam for Gentlemen

Frame No 146626

3-Speed BSA Rear Hub Gear

24″ Frame

28″ Wheels

Dunlop Tyre Inflator Pump

This well-preserved 1924 Royal Sunbeam for Gentlemen retains most of its original black paintwork and box lining. The Sunbeam transfers have faded over the past 88 years, though the ‘John Marston’ name can still be seen on the headstock. This model features the optional BSA three speed gear in the rear hub (more practical than the epicyclic gear in the chaincase). The wheels have been rebuilt, using chrome Westwood rims. Other features are 8 inch cranks with split block rubber pedals, and Sunbeam handlebar grips – in very good condition – with threaded caps and a tyre-repair bottle inside. The threaded cap and repair outfit kit is more commonly found on the Golden Sunbeam.

This Gentleman’s Royal Sunbeam was recently serviced, and is ready to ride.
